About the Recipe

This is an easy and simple way to get breakfast in the mornings! Just remember to prepare it the night before.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c quick oats

  • 1 Tbsp chia seeds

  • 2 Tbsp honey

  • 1/4 c mini SF, DF chocolate chips

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • pinch of salt

  • 1/4 c chopped walnuts or pecans

  • 3/4 c DF milk replacement

  • Optional: 1/4 frozen bluberries, 1/8 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 c pumpkin puree, 1/4 c fresh strawberries or anything other combination you want to try!

Preparation

Step 1

Put all ingredients in a pint sized jar. Put them in in the order they are listed above and the chia seeds and honey will mix in better.

Step 2

Shake the jar! Harder! Just kidding, you can also use a chop stick or spoon to make sure all the ingredients are evenly mixed.

Step 3

Put the jar in the fridge over night.

Step 4

Open the jar and give it a taste. Add more honey if desired. Mix up the oatmeal since the heavier items will have sunk.

Enjoy!
